With all the flashbacks, plot twists, and turns throughout the show, it can be difficult to catch every detail of How to Get Away With Murder. That is why I rounded up these facts about the show that you may or may not have missed. So without further ado, here we go!
1. The title for every episode is a quote from the episode itself.
ABC Studios
You may or may not have noticed this, but every title of each episode is a quote said by one of the characters in that specific episode. The only exception is the first episode, which is titled "Pilot."
2. The Keating Five met prior to filming to build real chemistry.

The onscreen chemistry of the Keating Five is so convincing because of the actors' offscreen time spent together. You may not know this, but before the actors officially started filming they were all flown out to Philadelphia to get acquainted and get to know each other. This was done to strengthen their onscreen dynamics and make their chemistry seem more real. As we all know, it worked, and the rest is history.
3. Viola Davis's real-life husband makes an appearance on HTGAWM.
ABC Studios
During Season 4 of HTGAWM, Viola Davis's husband, Julius Tennon, guest-starred on the show. In the episode, his name is Desmond, and he is someone that Annalise meets on a flight. Annalise decides not to pursue anything with Desmond because she thinks she may get more than what she bargained for, and the circumstances would be too complicated for her.
4. Young Gabriel is Tom Verica's real son.
So we all know that Gabriel Maddox is Sam Keating's long-lost biological son. But you were probably wondering why the younger version of Gabrielle looks so identical to Sam Keating. Did the directors do that great of a job at casting the role? In actuality, young Gabrielle is played by Danter Verica, Tom Verica's actual biological son.
5. The show created a custom vodka brand.
ABC Studios
Annalise has her ups and downs with booze throughout the show. One brand of vodka that she mainly clings to is called Kashchey. You may not know that it is not even an authentic brand of vodka, and the showrunners created this vodka specifically for HTGAWM.
6. But also, Annalise loves ice cream.
ABC Studios
Annalise may love her vodka, but her ice cream is another vice she can't do without. In Season 6, she admits it, and as viewers, we got to see whether it was to cope brainstorm or cover-up; Annalise loved her ice cream!
7. Rebecca Sutter's piercings are actually fake.

Editing your appearance for a role is not uncommon in Hollywood, but sometimes the change is so believable that viewers think it is the real you. Katie Findlay plays Rebecca Stutter, and her character has some noticeable face piercings that have led to fans speculating whether they are real or not. The answer is no. The piercings in Rebecca Sutter's ears, nose, and under her lip are all fake. Katie Findlay does not have one actual piercing in real life.
8. Frank was a villain on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
20th Century Fox
We bet you didn't know this, but before Charlie Weber was the heartthrob Frank Delfino on How to Get Away With Murder, he played a bad guy on the hit show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Weber's character is interesting because he shares his body with the female goddess Glory.
9. Wes Gibbons actually has a British accent.

Did you know that Alfred Enoch played Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter movies before Wes Gibbons in How to Get Away With Murder? Believe it or not, Alfred Enoch is British and has the accent to prove it. That's right, the actor that plays Wes Gibbons has a British accent. He's just so good at acting you didn't notice!
10. Alfred Enoch also speaks fluent Spanish.
ABC Studios
Not only is Enoch able to pull off an American accent incredibly well as Wes Gibbons, but he also plays his son and does a great job as Christophe Castillo. Christophe (Enoch) can speak to his mother in Spanish and address the class in the season finale in a hefty Spanish accent because he is also fluent in Spanish. Enoch knows both Portuguese and Spanish.
11. We don't really see Rebecca's apartment.
ABC Studios
Does anyone else notice that we never really see the inside of Rebecca's apartment? Seriously, anytime she's with Wes, she's at his apartment, and anytime we see her at her place, we can barely see inside. Was this the director's way of keeping Rebecca's character mysterious and keeping the audience suspicious of her activity? What was she hiding? Or what did the producer want us to think she was hiding?
12. Viola Davis took a break from filming sex scenes.
ABC Productions
If you wondered why some of the sex scenes slowed down a bit for Annalise, there is an actual reason for this. During one of her raunchy scenes with Nate Lahey (Billy Brown), Viola Davis sustained a back injury when thrown up against the wall during their lovemaking. Despite this injury, she was able to finish the scene. Afterward, Davis has stated that she had blown her back out recommending directors put a time out on those types of psychical scenarios for Annalise's character for a little while.
13. Even Alfred Enoch didn't know it was going to be revealed that he killed Sam.
ABC Studios
Arguably one of the series' best, most important, and shocking reveals, the moment everyone found out Wes killed Sam shocked everyone, including Wes Gibbons himself, Alfred Enoch. Later it was revealed that Enoch didn't know this reveal was coming until it was time for the table read for that episode.
14. We still don't know the reason behind the Asher murder.
ABC Studios
We are never really told why Asher was killed. We know the FBI, the Castillos, and the governor were all behind the killing. But why did they decide to kill Asher when he was working with them and feeding them information on Annalise? The FBI agent that did the deed is seen handcuffed inside an interrogation room and then never heard from again with no extensive detailed explanation as to why they killed Asher.
That's all, folks! From the very first episode to the season finale, the cast of How To Get Away With Murder cemented themselves into our hearts forever.
