Schitt's Creek is full of quirky and lovable characters, and they always have something interesting to say.

Whether they're funny or heartfelt, all of the characters from this landmark show have dropped lines that pretty much express who they are. Though it was a challenge choosing them all, here are 14 Quotes From Each Schitt's Creek Character That Sum Up Their Personalities.

14. "Remind me, are you here for a photo series or travel planning or our newest service, closet organization?" —Ray

Ray is a man of many trades. One minute, he's a real estate agent, and in the next, he's a wedding photographer. And at one point, he was selling Christmas trees. It's hard to keep track of all the jobs this man has in Schitt's Creek, and judging from this quote, he has trouble keeping track of them as well.
13. "It's my dad. We don't really get along. He really takes the whole mayor tradition in the family thing serious, and I'm just not that down into labels, you know?" —Mutt

Mutt is an outsider not just amongst his family but in Schitt's Creek as a whole. Like Alexis, he is a free spirit who wants to follow his own path in life, so it's no wonder these kindred spirits dated in Season 2. Mutt says this line to her when she learns he is Roland's son, effectively showing his estranged relationship with his family and his freethinking character.
12. "Hey, Johnny. Keepin' busy, or, uh, hardly workin'?" —Bob

Bob is another one of the oddballs dwelling in Schitt's Creek. He is usually seen doing a weird shuffle as he walks, but he is always happy to help Johnny out whenever he can. This quote encapsulates Bob's strange but cheerful personality and the unlikely connection he has formed with one of the town's most unlikely residents.
11. "This isn't Say Yes to the Dress, princess. Orange is the new orange." —Ronnie

If we learned anything from Ronnie after watching this show, it's that she doesn't take any crap from anyone, especially not the Roses. She is first seen guiding Alexis in her court-mandated community service, and though she would prefer a more fashionable experience, this line shows that Ronnie is not afraid to tell it how it is.
10. "If those bunnies feel exploited even a little bit, I am pulling the plug." —Ted

How did Alexis let this guy go? As Schitt's Creek's resident animal lover, he will always take care of his little patients with the care and respect they deserve. This extends to his loved ones, too, so despite how dorky he is, you definitely want this man in your life.
9. "I have everything I need right here. It's about how you live your life. You know, doing what makes you smile." —Twyla

Twyla is probably the strongest person in Schitt's Creek. She and her loved ones have gone through so many hardships; it's baffling she hasn't been on Oprah. And yet, she always finds a way to enjoy her life and weather the pain with a beaming smile on her face. Even though she can be blissfully ignorant, Twyla sure knows how to make the most out of her life, no matter how troubling it is.
8. "Have a Rose-Y day!" —Jocelyn

Jocelyn is the kind of person you'd love to have as your teacher. When Jocelyn works at Rose Apothecary, she drops this memorable line that, while David doesn't like it, says a lot about her character. You can always count on Jocelyn to brighten your day with her kindness and her warm smile, no matter how annoyed she is or how much she annoys you.
7. "If you're looking for an ass to kiss, it's mine." —Roland

Even amongst the Roses, Roland Schitt has a sense of entitlement that is beyond him. As the mayor of Schitt's Creek, Roland feels like he deserves the respect of everyone around him, and he has continuously butted heads with the Roses for their insubordination from the first day they moved into town.
6. "I don't want to add more stress to your day, but I love you." —Patrick

Patrick Brewer is hands down David's Mariah Carey. He's the grounded and quippy foil to David's neurotic character, and this line displays Patrick's snarky attitude and his sincere love, which make him the perfect man for David.
5. "I'm incapable of faking sincerity." —Stevie

Stevie is unapologetically honest to everyone in her life, especially David, and she will always tell the truth, whether it's to support her friends or to just criticize people. With this quote, she helps David through one of his dilemmas while honestly showing how she can't even lie about how honest she is.

Alexis has always been quite the adventurer. All the different escapades she claims to have had in the past could make for her own show (hopefully one better than A Little Bit Alexis). Though it looks like she just breezes through life without a care in the world, this line shows that she has learned how to face adversity in the most fashionable way possible.
3. "I plan on popping a pill, crying a bit, and falling asleep early. Just a regular weeknight." —David

David Rose has been through a lot of challenges in his life, especially after he and his family are forced to move to Schitt's Creek. All of these troubles have caused him to develop a negative view of himself, but with self-deprecating lines like this, he is able to make fun of himself and push through the pain, making him a very relatable character.
2. "The world is falling apart around us, John, and I am dying inside." —Moira

As a professional thespian, Moira is dramatic on and off the stage, so she is always quick to emphasize how much she loathes living in Schitt's Creek. This quote came from Moira's very first day in town, and even before the day is over, she overreacts to everything in the manner we've come to expect from our favorite pettifogging performer.
1. "I just thought, in spite of all the hardship, we found ourselves coming together, the kids, you and me, as a family." —Johnny

This quote comes after Johnny fails to host the Christmas party he had envisioned for his family. However, it still sums up Johnny's character as the glue holding his dysfunctional family together. Even after losing their home and their money, Johnny Rose works hard to keep them all united and to find some joy in their difficult, new life.
