Y'all are wrong for some of these.
It probably comes as no surprise to you that the internet is a very horny place. I was aware of this fact too, but for some reason I still wasn't prepared to stumble across this particularly impassioned Reddit thread. User u/klammdaddy wanted to know which movies people thought should have had sex scenes between the main characters but didn't. Here are some of the responses, which...honestly range from "That's fair" to "I don't know about that":
1. "Romeo Must Die. So much sexual tension that didn't go anywhere. I spent that whole movie waiting to see that."
Warner Bros. Pictures
2. "Pride and Prejudice. I really want to see if Mr. Darcy is a gentleman in the streets and a freak in the sheets."
Universal Pictures
3. "Groundhog Day. They could have pushed this into an ironic direction where it cuts to various scenes of Bill Murray getting it on, then ultimately getting burned out on it."
Columbia Pictures
4. "Monty Python and the Holy Grail came so close."
EMI Films
5. "The Incredibles. We all know we wanted to see how Elastigirl got down."
Disney
6. "Interview With the Vampire had a lot of sex in it, but not once did any of the main characters kiss. Every time Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise leaned like 2 inches away from each other and didn’t kiss, I felt like I was holding in a sneeze. Bruh."
Warner Bros. Pictures
7. "Casablanca, Citizen Kane…lots of old movies from before it was acceptable. So they just had to 'vaguely imply' that naughtiness happened."
Warner Bros.
8. "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. They can get Brad Pitt to fight Bruce Lee and the Manson cult, but he can’t butter Leo’s biscuit just one time? Give the people what they want."
Sony
9. "The Rocketeer! I had a huge crush on Jennifer Connelly."
Disney
10. "The Lord of the Rings. But Arwen and Aragorn are both too hot; I would probably just die watching it."
New Line Cinema
11. "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Like hell I wouldn’t be calling Sloane over if I was 'sick' at home and both my parents were at work."
Paramount Pictures
12. "A proper BDSM scene in the Fifty Shades movies. For movies meant to be about BDSM, they do a horrible job of showing it. It's more like two people being friends with benefits, and when one falls in love, the other changes to be with the first one."
Universal Pictures
13. "Closer, with Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts. I know it was based on a play, so the scenes are very limited, but if there were some actual sex scenes and happy romantic moments, I probably could’ve ended up sympathizing with the characters a bit more — even if they are meant to be deceptive, cheating scumbags."
Sony
14. And finally, "Avatar. They'd join ponytail tentacles to do it, I'm fuckin' positive."
20th Century Studios
