Well, not all movies can be for all!

According to the folks in the comments of this BuzzFeed quiz and this Reddit thread, these iconic movies are actually boring and I kinda agree with most of them.

Some movies gained notoriety for their cast or the director. Or maybe critics just loved the film for some mysterious reason. However, these "iconic" movies are really just... boring.

1. Pulp Fiction

4. Avatar

20th Century Studios / Alamy

"The fact that so many of y'all say Avatar isn't boring is so baffling to me. That movie felt like it was 12 hours long. For me, it was just absolutely boring and the only parts I remember were the parts I thought were wildly stupid."— Nisha M

5. Forrest Gump

"Sorry but I truly don’t get the hype w Forrest Gump... truly one of the most boring movies I have ever seen but I mean okay." — Sab

10. The Harry Potter Franchise

Warner Bros. Pictures / Alamy

"I'm a huge fan of the books, I have been since I was 12 and I'm in my 30s now but the movies were just always kind of meh to me. They don't have the same magic the books do." — annabanana8000

11. Eat Pray Love

Plan B Entertainment / Columbia Pictures / Alamy

"Eat Pray Love was dull as dirt. One of very few movies that I didn't bother to finish." — u/zyd_the_lizard

12. Suicide Squad

13. 2001: A Space Odyssey

MGM / Alamy

"Yes, I know it's a masterpiece, but for me, it was boring as hell. There was some great cinematography, but Kubrick lingers on some shots way too long. Like I get it, stuff floats in space. Sometimes I think he just fell asleep and no one woke him to shout cut " — u/rattatally

14. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Warner Bros. Pictures / Paramount Pictures / Alamy

"The most curious thing is how I could read the short story quicker than the movie's runtime." — u/southson

15. Dunkirk

Warner Bros. Pictures / Alamy

Personally, I loved the movie but Redditor u/GoldPisseR says, "Dunkirk had me looking at the watch quite a few times. The movie is shot beautifully but the dialogues felt too mechanical and rehearsed and I didn't give a shit about what happened to anyone. And goddamn that ticking background score, they were trying really hard to make you feel the intensity."
