That being said, actors who play love interests still have their actual partnerships outside of work — here are 15 iconic TV and movie relationships vs. the actors' real-life romances.

1. Pam and Jim from The Office, played by Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski.

Jenna and John played Pam and Jim in The Office for nine seasons. During this time, Pam called off her engagement to Roy, and their characters later fell in love, married, and had two kids, Cece and Phillip.

John is married to actor Emily Blunt.

Sanaa and Omar were an unforgettable couple as Monica and Quincy, two Los Angeles neighbors who meet as children and continue to cross paths as they both pursue their individual basketball careers. 

Sanaa currently appears to be single.

Sanaa mostly keeps her dating life under wraps, but a couple of her former partners are publicly known. Mark-Paul and Tiffani portrayed one of the most iconic TV couples of the '90s as Zack and Kelly in Saved by the Bell. The series ran from 1989 to 1992, and their characters eventually married in the TV movie Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas. In the Peacock Saved by the Bell reboot, Zack and Kelly are still going strong after nearly 30 years of marriage.

Mark-Paul is married to advertising executive Catriona McGinn.

Tiffani is married to actor/author Brady Smith.

Tracee hasn't been linked to anyone recently, and in May 2021 she opened up to Harper's Bazaar about the idea of getting married.

Fans couldn't get enough of the actors playing opposite each other in the tragic romance film, and the two have maintained a close real-life friendship over the years.

Leonardo is dating model/actor Camila Morrone.

Gaga and Bradley were so believable as love interests that fans were buzzing the two could be an item in real life when they performed in character at the Oscars in 2019. Gaga later debunked these rumors in an Elle interview with Oprah.

Lady Gaga is in a relationship with CEO Michael Polansky.
