You've heard of "love at first sight," now get ready for "love at first scene."

While I don't necessarily believe in "love at first sight" in real life, I do believe in "love at first SCENE" — wherein you fall in love with a character the moment they appear on screen.

Marvel Studios

And, a while back, we asked movie lovers in our BuzzFeed Community, "Which movie character did YOU fall in love with and/or become a fan of based on their very first scene on screen alone?" and, over the years, they came through with some incredible picks!

LucasFilm Ltd.

So, with that in mind, here are just a few of the most popular responses shared:

1. Peter Parker, Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Marvel Studios

"He's a lovable character to begin with, but Tom Holland played him perfectly. Plus, he has that adorable father/son relationship with Tony Stark, which is evident from their first moments together onscreen."

2. Astrid Leong, Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

6. Edward Cullen, Twilight (2008)

Summit Entertainment

"Honestly, for me, Robert Pattinson was the perfect casting. He was so incredibly attractive and had the same mannerisms as Edward in the book. I remember my teenage heart beating SO fast when he waltzed right in the cafeteria with the rest of the Cullen family."

7. Maria, The Sound of Music (1965)

20th Century Fox

"She's so happy and musical and scatterbrained — just like me — and it's all perfectly demonstrated in that opening hilltop song."

8. The Joker, The Dark Knight (2008)

Warner Bros.

"He instantly became the best version of that character to ever exist because the opening bank robbery sequence showed off his intelligence and his ruthless nature when he murdered his own people."

9. Russell, Up (2009)

Pixar

"The second I saw him, I loved his character. I love how he's always so optimistic and childlike, compared to Carl’s grumpy mood. Good job to Pixar for designing him so wonderfully!"

10. The Winter Soldier, Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

Marvel Studios

"Bucky Barnes has a great intro in Captain America: The First Avenger, but the character differs massively between the two movies (damn brainwashing), and he still owns my entire heart from that badass scene."

16. Rosemary and Dill, Easy A (2010)

Sony Pictures Releasing

17. Amy Dunne, Gone Girl (2014)

20th Century Fox

"The way you could see her twisted character and complex (read: fucked up) mind in her eyes was amazing. From the first moments, you could tell she wasn't an ordinary woman. She was crazy, manipulative, insane, brilliant, mad, beautiful, clever, and simply too powerful for her own good."

18. Jareth the Goblin King, Labyrinth (1986)

22. Django, Django Unchained (2012)

The Weinstein Company

"The way he threw the blanket off his shoulders, exposing the scars and walking away with a 'IDGAF' attitude towards the slavers. I knew then and there that Tarantino had written an awesome character, far away from the usual trope."

23. Kylo Ren, Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

LucasFilm Ltd.

"Watching him stop a laser blast midair sold me. Plus, he’s got a cool suit, an awesome light saber, and is just an interesting character overall. Sure, he may never be as iconic as Darth Vader, but if you ask me, he's a tad bit more interesting. While Vader was a physically intimidating and threatening presence, Kylo had to struggle between two family legacies and wore that struggle on his sleeve."
