The #1 look might be my favorite out of the entire season, tbh.
Hello, Upper East Siders!! I know it's hard to believe, but we're in the home stretch of Season 1 of the Gossip Girl reboot. With only two episodes remaining, it's time to sharpen our keyboards and not hold anything back.
The CW
LOL, as if we were being nice before.
Without further ado, let's get into all the looks from Episodes 9 and 10: "Blackberry Narcissus" and "Final Cancellation."
27. Wendy's five-second floral look:
HBO Max
Sure, she wasn't on screen for long, but her terrible outfit definitely left an impression. I don't know what more I can say about Wendy's fashion at this point except it's still so UGLY!
26. Gideon's rebound outfit:
HBO Max
This one HURTS, but my dear Gideon was giving off such a Wendy vibe in this outfit. I'm not mad, just disappointed.
25. Kate's spiraling jogging look:
HBO Max
Honestly, this look is only this low because there's so many better fashion moments. This is my WFH look, so I'm definitely not mad at it, lol.
24. Julien's bratty party dress:
HBO Max
Please send my apologies to Kiki, but I thought this dress was so ugly and not something a fashionable teen like Julien would ever wear. This looks like something my grandma would wear to the church Christmas party. Thank you, NEXT!
23. Julien's ~interesting~ law office/school fit:
HBO Max
Who the hell would wear biker shorts to a meeting with a lawyer about their father's potential crimes?! Who allowed this?!
22. The Roses' sweet Hanukkah looks:
HBO Max
Yes, these outfits aren't the peak of Upper East Side fashion, but they get points just for showing up in this show. 30/10, WHERE'S BLAIR?!
21. Roy's "handy man on the go" uniform:
HBO Max
I love a man who can rock a flannel with confidence. Especially one who lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
20. Max's sunshine uniform sweater:
HBO Max
This color looks so good on him and the sweater seems so cozy. I would definitely fall asleep in class if I wore this to school.
19. Julien's on-the-town disguise:
HBO Max
Honestly, I'm only here for the Yankee cap. It's so interesting to see such a rich kid wear something you can buy from a bodega for $5.
18. Audrey's corduroy dream jacket:
HBO Max
I LOVE that this jacket is so long and, of course, the brass buttons are so regal looking.
17. Kate's cute blazer moment:
HBO Max
While the outfit itself isn't remarkable, I do love seeing Kate step out of her bad fashion moments and into something new! As I said before, a simple jacket can really elevate an outfit.
16. Julien's electric school blazer.
HBO Max
THIS COLOR!!! I can't get over it. I don't care if this is a jacket for a fake school, I need it NOW!
15. Max's cozy woodsy fit:
HBO Max
It's absolutely adorable that Max wore this while helping his father with his landscape business. He's such a cutie pie!
14. Zoya's grungy stay-at-home fit:
HBO Max
Nine episodes in and I'm so glad Zoya never compromised her own sense of style for anyone on this show.
13. Luna and Monet's girls-next-door uniforms:
HBO Max
Luna looks flawless as always, but the real star of this picture is Monet. From the Chanel necklace to the cropped sweater over the oversized button-up shirt (I couldn't get a good pic of it, but omg!!), she's the style icon everyone needs to look up to.
12. Luna's business woman wool coat:
HBO Max
I'm such a sucker for a cute or interesting-looking coat. Speaking of which...
11. Zoya's canary fuzzy jacket:
HBO Max
I don't know why I love this jacket so much, since it looks like it's made from the skin of a Muppet, but Zoya just pulls it off so effortlessly. And this isn't even my favorite jacket of hers from these episodes!!
10. Zoya's plaid wool moment:
HBO Max
Once again, you can't see it clearly (cue eye rolling), but this jacket is super long and oversized, which highlights just how small and adorable Zoya is. Plus, these colors are gorgeous together.
9. Jeremy O. Harris's saving-the-day look:
HBO Max
Not only is this man a writing LEGEND, but he can also rock multiple colors that shouldn't go together and somehow pull it off. What an icon.
8. Julien's sad press conference turtleneck set:
HBO Max
I love this look because it's a matching turtleneck and skirt set that gives "I'm sad, but still effortlessly pretty." And for what Julien's going through, she needs all the good vibes she can get.
7. Zoya's comfortable party look:
HBO Max
The dress is a bit plain, but her incredible curls really tie the look together.
6. Gideon's sparkly Hanukkah blazer:
HBO Max
Thank GOD Gideon managed to shake off the Wendy vibes and get back where he belongs on this list. I would say I was worried, but it's Gideon!! He always manages to pull off a miracle!
5. Luna's sexy party planning fit:
HBO Max
From the corset to the jacket to the purse, this look just proves Luna can wear anything and make it look GOOD!
4. Aki's Skater Boi uniform:
HBO Max
It's such a simple outfit, but it's Aki's cool and confident swagger that really sets it apart from the otherwise lacking male fashion on this show.
3. Monet's simple and classy mini dress moment:
HBO Max
This look is giving "give me my way because my mother owns you" vibes, but in a good way because it's Monet, duh.
2. Luna's art gallery cape coat:
HBO Max
Ms. Luna has worn a lot of fringe looks this season, but I think this coat might be my favorite. It just makes her glow.
1. And finally, Monet's fiery red uniform look:
HBO Max
Words cannot begin to describe how much I love this look or how freakin' INCREDIBLE she looks. When the promotional pictures for the second half of Season 1 dropped and I saw this look, I instantly fell in love. From the hair to the blazer to the attitude, it just works so well. It's a "lightning in a bottle" moment for this show, and I don't know if any look from the final two episodes can top it.
That's all for now, my dears!! See you soon for our last fashion roundup of the season!!!
