Rae (who issued the ultimatum) is asked by Zay what she even likes about him and why she wants him to be her husband to which she hesitates before asking to change the subject. This had viewers questioning why she issued the ultimatum in the first place.

2. Maybe have the "kids" conversation before committing to a serious relationship and definitely before getting engaged.

Nate issued the ultimatum to Lauren and his ultimatum came with conditions. One of those conditions being children. Lauren expressed many times on the show and no doubt to him that she did not want kids. The couple had been together for two and a half years, viewers thought it odd that they hadn't had the conversation prior to getting so serious. Viewers found it even odder when he proposed and she said "yes" having not resolved the fact that Nate so desperately wanted kids and Lauren did not.

3. It might be hard seeing your person with someone else, so make sure you're ready for that before you issue that ultimatum.

Shanique issued an ultimatum to her boyfriend (Randall) of a year and a half, but quickly figured out that it was more than she bargained for. One scene in particular where she pulled Randall from his date to ask him why he was having so much fun with the woman he was paired with made it clear that she was taking this experience pretty hard. I believe her exact words were, "Yes, I want you to sit in a corner and miss me."

4. Learn your partner's communication style!

One thing that these couples had in common was that they didn't know their partner's love languages or how they communicated. Most of the arguments on the show came about because everyone would rather be heard than listen, which always resulted in both parties upset and a relationship on the line.
