Noomi Rapace shines in this dark post-apocalyptic action flick.
For March, Netflix seems to have populated its roster with bleak survival movies set in Scandinavia against the frigid and fiendish backdrop of the Arctic. First it was Against the Ice, and the latest is Black Crab. The film — an import from Sweden — is a dystopian military thriller set in near future where Sweden is plagued by a civil war.

The story follows a group of soldiers who are sent on an almost suicidal mission to deliver two mysterious canisters to a distant frozen archipelago. The victory of their side is contingent on the success of this mission.

But the only way the soldiers can travel is by relentlessly skating on thin ice. Threatening them on this arduous journey are enemy ambushes, treacherous ice sheets, frostbite causing sub-zero temperatures, and betrayal by their own comrades.
