Jacob Elordi Discussed His Character's Nude Scenes On "Euphoria"

"You have no choice — every scene is like, ‘He sleeps with this person.'"

The interview comes within the context of a growing number of Euphoria actors discussing nudity on the show — with Sydney Sweeney and Minka Kelly asking showrunner Sam Levinson to change the amount of nudity for their characters from what was originally in the script.

So, is Jacob asked how he feels about being naked when the scripts are being sent out? Jacob replied, "You have no choice — every scene is like, ‘He sleeps with this person, he does this with this person naked.'"

“I’ve done some movies where it gets to the point where it’s like, ‘He goes to the mall, shirtless,’ and you’re like, ‘Why?’"

“I think on Euphoria it comes with the territory of the character, he’s this ultra-masculine, macho jock, so those guys tend to get around pretty shirtless," he continued.

"We have an intimacy coordinator," he added, referring to Mam Smith. "She's a second mother — she's like, 'Are you comfortable? Are you okay?'"

Jacob also noted that the crew had been the same since Season 1, saying, "It's like getting naked in front of your family...it's always weird."

The 24-year-old actor previously said that he despised people talking about his body in The Kissing Booth, explaining, "I was trying to prove myself and be known as an actor. It was so much working out and I hated every second of it.”
