"After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected."

Meagan Good, the star of the series Harlem and rom-com Think Like a Man, is getting divorced from her husband, film producer DeVon Franklin, after nearly a decade together.

The couple's split was confirmed exclusively by People, who obtained a joint statement from Meagan and DeVon. After nine years, the pair said they are amicably going their separate ways.

"After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected," they said. "We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There's no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love."

Meagan and DeVon met on the set of 2011's romantic dramedy Jumping the Broom, in which Meagan starred alongside Paula Patton and Angela Bassett. DeVon helped produce the film as a Sony Pictures Entertainment executive.

The couple were engaged shortly thereafter and married in June 2012. "We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we've spent together as husband and wife," they added. "We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other."

The Hollywood couple have often shared details of their romance with the public. Back in 2015, they cowrote the New York Times bestseller The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love about their relationship.

The book details how the pair waited to be married to have sex and how that was key to making their relationship work at the time.

Best of luck to both Meagan and DeVon.
