It's-a me...your new favorite theme park land!
If you're a Nintendo fan, you're probably aware that Universal Studios Hollywood is currently hard at work building a highly anticipated SUPER NINTENDO WORLD area. But if you've been wondering WHEN it's actually going to open, wait no longer...because Universal just announced the brand-new land will open in 2023!

For the record, the photo above is from Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios in JAPAN! This should help give you an idea of what we'll be in for here in the US.
The very first Super Nintendo World opened at Universal Studios Japan in 2021 (to rave consumer and critical reviews, BTW).

And if the US version is anything like Japan's park, it'll be WELL worth that wait for 2023 to come around, because the rides and entertainment look SO fun. Seriously...bring on the Rainbow Road. I'm ready!
In a release from Universal Studios, they explained: "The U.S. debut of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood will transport guests and Nintendo fans into the world of Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach to become part of their exciting universe!"
"The immersive land will be a visual spectacle of vibrant colors and architectural ingenuity located within a newly expanded area of the theme park, featuring a groundbreaking ride and interactive areas, to be enjoyed by the whole family. Themed shopping and dining will enhance the entire experience."

And because it feels like 2023 is an eternity away, Universal Studios Hollywood will actually start a kind of ~countdown~ celebrating the opening of the land, with special Super Nintendo World theming at their Feature Presentation shop.

You'll also be able to get your (gloved) hands on fun merch like Mario and Luigi themed apparel, character HATS (LOL!), and, of course, adorable plush characters, like everyone's favorite BFF ~dinosaur~, Yoshi.
So, mark your calendars — Super Nintendo World opens at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023!
