Excuse me while I go listen to "Nobody Like U" by 4*Town on a loop.
The marvelously metaphorical film — which documents the coming-of-age story of 13-year-old Toronto native Mei Lee — is positively delightful! Having previously been one myself, I can truly say I've never seen a movie capture the pure chaotic weirdness that is being a teenage girl quite like this one does.

So, with that in mind, we took to Twitter to round up just a few of the very best reactions to (and jokes about) the film, compiling them into this easy-to-enjoy list for your viewing pleasure! Ready? I sure hope so! Here we go:
2. This quote to live by:

in the best possible way Turning Red is "Do not kill the part of you that is cringe - kill the part of you that cringes" concentrated into a movie and it's wonderful
7. This appropriate(?) murder:

The complaints that #TurningRed isn’t appropriate for kids because it addresses puberty is hilarious like I’m pretty sure that Finding Nemo opens with the murder of an entire family?
15. This sweet little detail:

turning red spoilers // GUYS THE GIRLS IKN THE MOVIE ALL HAVE THESE FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS AND BY THE END OF IT THEY MADE ONE FOR TYLER AS WELL IM CRYING
16. This telling meme:
![]()
I honestly didn't want to make this meme. But seeing as that we keep getting people bitching about Turning Red, I had to make this comparison to another cartoon that also gets the same treatment as Turning Red #TurningRed
17. This fanfic I'd 110% read:

“It’s unrealistic that a 13 year old is writing/drawing fan fiction.” Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet came out when I was 13. Not only did I make that film my whole personality, I wrote myself into the story. In my version, Romeo AND Juliet AND Mercutio fell in love with me.
18. And finally — this important inclusion:

The way I sobbed when I saw the pads in #TurningRed. Women are so often reduced to smaller versions of themselves, either sexualized or non-existent. To see a film list out different kinds of hygiene products with such normalcy was moving.
